What F93 means

On 2025 and newer GE Profile GeoSpring PF and PH series heat pump water heaters, F93 means no personality is detected in the control board. The personality is the information that tells the board which model it is controlling, including capacity and features. Without it the control does not know how to run the unit and stops with F93. Owners usually see a heater that will not start or keeps showing the code, often after a board replacement.
