Dishwasher Repair in Houston

We repair GE, Profile and Café dishwashers that will not start, drain, clean well or dry. We check the water path, pump, heater and controls and explain the finding before any part is ordered.

GE dishwashers share a familiar design: a water inlet valve fills the tub, a circulation pump pushes water through spray arms, a heater warms it and dries the load, and a drain pump clears it. A control board times the cycle and watches the door latch, the fill level and the temperature.

In Houston, hard water leaves scale on the heating element and in the spray arms, and humidity can corrode connectors under the tub. Older units that sit near a sink disposer can suffer from clogged drain lines, because food debris and grease collect in the same path.

On a visit we first run the unit, check the filter and drain hose, test the inlet valve and pump, measure the heater, and look for leaks around the door seal and lower connections. You get a written price before we replace anything.

05Dishwasher questions
Why is there standing water at the bottom?

It can be a clogged filter or drain hose, a drain pump issue, or a disposer knockout plug left in. The standing water alone does not say which, so we start with the filter and drain path.

Why do dishes come out dirty even after a full cycle?

Low water fill, blocked spray arms, a worn pump or hard water scale can each cause this. We check the filter, spray arm holes and fill level, and look for scale built up from Houston water.

Can a leak be repaired, or does it mean replacement?

Many leaks come from a door gasket, a hose or a pump seal, and those are repairable. A rusted tub is different. We trace the water path and give you a written price for what we find.
