What All lights blinking means
On GE Profile hoods with Chef Connect, including the PVX7300 and PVX7360, all four button backlights blinking on and off means the hood is in Default Settings Mode. Holding the Lo pad for 3 seconds enters it, and the lights keep blinking indefinitely while you choose the default light and fan levels used when the hood syncs with the range. This is a setup screen, not a warning, and it ends when you exit.
Common causes of All lights blinking
- Lo pad held for 3 seconds, entering Default Settings Mode
- Settings mode left open after choosing levels
1. Set the default light and fan levels you want the hood to use when synced. 2. Press and hold Off for 3 seconds to exit. 3. Check that the backlights stop blinking. 4. Test the hood normally to confirm the fan and light respond to their pads.
- If the lights keep blinking after you exit, we check the control panel for a pad stuck on.
- We also test the fan and light.
Why are all four hood buttons blinking?
The hood is in Default Settings Mode, where you set the default light and fan levels used for syncing with the range. It stays blinking until you exit the mode.
How do I exit?
Set the levels you want, then press and hold Off for 3 seconds. The backlights stop blinking and the hood returns to normal use with its fan and light pads.
Is this a sign something is wrong?
No. It is the setup mode and the hood is working as designed. If blinking continues after you exit, the control panel should be checked, and we can do that.
