What Lights flashing in sequence means
On GE Profile wall and chimney hoods with Chef Connect Bluetooth, such as the PVX7300 and PVX7360, the Lo, Med, Hi and Light backlights flashing in sequence mean the hood is in pairing mode. It enters this mode when the Light pad is held for 3 seconds, and it keeps flashing until it pairs with the range. When all four lights flash three times together, pairing succeeded. Pairing mode times out after 2 minutes, so the sequence can stop by itself.
Common causes of Lights flashing in sequence
- Light pad held for 3 seconds, starting pairing mode
- Pairing still waiting for the range to respond
- Pairing timed out after 2 minutes
1. To cancel, hold Light for 3 seconds, then turn the hood off. 2. If pairing timed out, restart it by holding Light for 3 seconds again. 3. Have the range ready to pair at the same time. 4. Wait for all four lights to flash three times together to confirm.
- If the hood never pairs with a compatible range, we check the hood's wireless link and the range's Chef Connect setup.
- We also confirm the fan and light work on their own.
Why are my hood lights flashing one after another?
The hood is in Chef Connect pairing mode and waiting to pair with your range. It started when the Light pad was held for 3 seconds, and it will keep going until it pairs.
How do I know pairing worked?
All four backlights flash three times together. If that does not happen within 2 minutes, pairing times out and you can start it again by holding the Light pad.
How do I cancel pairing?
Hold the Light pad for 3 seconds, then turn the hood off. You can restart pairing later whenever you want to link the hood to the range for synced fan and light control.
