The PGB935YPFS is listed as a GE Profile smart 30-inch free-standing self-clean gas range with a fingerprint resistant finish and No Preheat Air Fry. It stands alone in a 30-inch opening and burns gas in both the oven and on the cooktop.

When this type of oven does not come up to temperature, the igniter and gas valve are our first checks, followed by the sensor and the control. Air fry adds the convection fan, so we test rotation and airflow. On the cooktop we test spark, ports and caps. Self-clean heats the oven hard, which wears door latches, so those are tested too.

The oven will not heat but the burners light. What is wrong?

The oven has its own igniter and gas valve, separate from the burners. We measure igniter current and test the valve, then write up the price.

Does the fingerprint resistant finish need special care?

We protect the exterior when moving the range, and we do not use harsh cleaners on it during service. The finish is simply a coating on the exterior, and our repair work happens inside the range, so the finish is untouched.

Do you check the gas shutoff?

Yes, while the range is out we inspect the supply line and shutoff. Repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty, and the model is confirmed from the label.
