What F + number or letter means

On all GE, GE Profile and Café ranges with electronic oven controls, a display showing F followed by a number or letter, such as F1 or F7, is a function error code. It means the control found a condition it does not accept and stopped the oven. Models include the JB645RKSS, JB735SPSS, PGS930SELSS, PHS700AYFS and CES700P3MD1. The character after F names the circuit, but the first response is the same for every F code.
