GE Profile PHS930FLDS Slide-In-Range Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Induction zone cutting power or not recognizing a pan
  2. Convection roast or bake running cooler than set
  3. Oven fan noise during convection modes
  4. Front touch controls responding slowly
  5. Self-clean cycle ending with the door still locked

The PHS930FLDS is a GE Profile 30-inch smart slide-in range with front controls and an induction cooktop. The oven holds 5.3 cu ft and lists Baked Goods, Convection Bake, Convection Roast and a single-rack Frozen Pizza mode that skips preheating. Self-clean comes with a steam clean option.

Because the controls sit on the front, the touch board is exposed to splashes and cleaning sprays, so a dead or slow panel is one of the first things we examine. On the cooktop we check pan detection, the zone coil connection and the cooling fan. In the oven, the convection fan, the hidden bake element and the temperature sensor decide how well the special modes perform.

Slide-in ranges fit tight to the counter, so we plan the pull-out and re-secure the anti-tip bracket afterward. We match parts to the model and serial printed on the label, quote in writing before we begin, and stand behind the work for 30 days.

PHS930FLDSPHS930FLDS questions
Why is my convection roast not browning?

Convection modes rely on the fan moving air through the oven and on an accurate temperature sensor. We check the fan, the elements and the sensor reading against a thermometer, then tell you which part is responsible before you approve a price.

What does the Frozen Pizza No Preheat mode need from the oven?

The mode is listed for a single rack with no preheat, so the oven has to heat quickly and sense temperature correctly from the start. If results are poor, we test the elements, the convection fan and the sensor.

Can an induction cooktop be repaired on site?

Often yes. We check pan detection, the cooling fan, the zone connections and the power board, and in most cases we can tell you the cause during the visit. The written price comes before any part is ordered.
