GE SCA2001BSS Advantium Oven Repair

Most common issues on this model

Speedcook cycles that stop early or cook unevenly
Vent fan airflow and grease filters
Door switch and latch operation
Display and keypad response

The SCA2001BSS is listed as an above-the-cooktop Advantium oven. It sits over a range and combines speedcook with microwave cooking. GE lists related numbers in the family, including SCA2001BSSC, SCA2001FSS and SCA2001KSS.

Our diagnosis follows the same order as with other Advantium units: door and switches first, then microwave heating, then speedcook, then the fan and lights. Because these ovens work in a hot spot above the burners, grease on the filters and wear on the door hardware are frequent findings, and owners often notice them as a weak fan or a door that closes unevenly.

Because the family has several numbers, we are careful with parts. We read the full model and serial from the label before ordering anything, give a written price in advance, and cover repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

SCA2001BSSSCA2001BSS questions

My SCA2001BSS stops partway through speedcook. Why?

A door switch that misreads is one possibility, and so is the speedcook system itself. We test the switches first, then each cooking mode on its own, and quote the price in writing.

Why does the oven vent poorly over my cooktop?

Grease-loaded filters are the usual cause. We inspect them, test the fan on each speed, and then look at the duct if the oven is vented outdoors.

There are several SCA2001 numbers. Does it matter which I have?

Yes. Related numbers like SCA2001BSSC, FSS and KSS can use different parts, so we match your exact number and serial from the label before ordering.
