What Use Probe means

On GE convection microwaves with a cooking probe, such as the PVM9179SRSS, PVM9215SKSS and JVM7195SKSS, the display shows Use Probe when the probe is not placed in the food or not connected at the wall receptacle. If the probe is set correctly, the food is above 10°F and Use Probe stays on, the probe or its wiring is probably defective. The oven will not run a probe program until it detects the probe.
