CVW73014MWM
Café CVW73014MWM Glass Canopy Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Blower speed at each of the four fan settings
- Halogen lamp and socket
- Duct run and damper for vertical-only venting
- Control switch contact and wiring
The CVW73014MWM is a Café 30-inch wall-mount glass canopy chimney hood. The listing gives 350 CFM at 6.1 sones on boost, 330 CFM at 5.4 sones on high and 160 CFM at 0.9 sones at working speed, with four fan speeds and halogen lighting over the cooktop.
This hood vents vertically only, so the duct rises straight from the hood through the chimney section. That makes the damper and the duct run the first places we look when airflow feels weak. We then check the blower wheel for grease buildup, the motor at each of the four speeds, and the halogen lamps and sockets, which carry steady heat from the cooktop below.
A glass canopy hood is mounted on the wall above the range, so we handle the glass and chimney covers carefully during service. Before any part is ordered we read the model and serial from the label, and the price is written out for you to approve first.

Error codes this model can show
Why is my hood weak at high speed?
This hood is rated 330 CFM on high and 350 CFM on boost. If it moves less air than that, we inspect the blower wheel, motor and the vertical duct and damper. Pricing is quoted in writing before we order anything.
Can the halogen lights be replaced?
Yes. If a new lamp does not light, the socket or wiring may be worn from heat. We test both, confirm the model from the label, and cover repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Can this hood be vented out the side?
The listing shows vertical ducting only for this model. We check the existing vertical run for crushing, a stuck damper or poor joints, since those cut airflow more than the blower itself does.
