On GE Profile UltraFast combo washer-dryers such as the PFQ97HSPVDS, the display message Check and Clean Drain Pump Filter means the control detected a restriction in the drain area. Most often loose items such as socks, coins or lint have caught in the pump filter. Water then drains slowly or not at all. You may notice standing water in the drum, a cycle that pauses or loads that come out very wet.
