Washer Repair in Houston

We repair GE and Profile front-load and top-load washers. If yours will not drain, spin, fill or start, or leaves a musty smell, we check the water path, the drive and the controls.

GE and Profile washers come in front-load and top-load styles. Both depend on an inlet valve, a drain pump, a motor and drive, a lid or door lock, and a control board that watches load and water level. Front-loaders add a door boot and heavier suspension, while top-loaders use an agitator or impeller.

In Houston, humid air and warm laundry rooms encourage mildew, and hard water leaves scale in valves and hoses. Laundry closets inside the living area can hide small leaks until a floor is damaged, and an uneven slab shows up as a washer that walks.

We start with the cycle where the sign appears, check the filter, hoses and valve, test the pump and lock, and inspect the drum and bearings for play. You receive the finding and a written price before we replace anything.

05Washer questions
Why is there water in my washer after the cycle?

A blocked pump filter, a bent drain hose, a weak drain pump or a lock that has not released could be involved. We check the filter and hose first and then test the pump.

What causes a musty front-load washer?

Moisture trapped in the door boot, too much detergent and a closed door after use encourage growth. Cleaning and drying the seal helps, and we check the drain and pump for residue.

Is a loud spin cycle dangerous?

Most often it comes from an off-balance load, a floor that is not level, or worn bearings or shocks. We level the machine and check the suspension and bearings before suggesting a repair.
