PDS20MFWBB
GE Profile PDS20MFWBB Bottom-Freezer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Ice maker slow, empty or not releasing cubes
- Filter reminder staying on after replacement
- Frost around the freezer drawer
- Fresh-food section warming while the freezer holds
The PDS20MFWBB is a GE Profile ENERGY STAR bottom-freezer refrigerator with 19.5 cu ft of capacity and a 29 7/8 in cabinet. It makes ice in the freezer without a door dispenser and uses a GE water filter listed for one year. Other finishes are listed as PDS20MFWWW and PDS20MFWCC.
Ice trouble on this kind of unit begins with the water: the shut-off, the line, the filter and the inlet valve. Then we check that the freezer is cold enough and that the ice maker arm and heater work. A frosted drawer seal or a warm fresh-food section sends us to the gasket, the evaporator fan and the defrost system.
We confirm the model and serial from the label, then order what fits. The price is in writing before we begin, and a 30-day workmanship warranty is included.

Why is my ice maker empty on a refrigerator with no dispenser?
The ice maker depends on the water line, the filter and the inlet valve, plus cold freezer air. We test the flow at the valve and the freezer temperature first, then the ice maker itself.
How often does the filter need changing?
The listing gives the filter a one-year interval. If flow drops sooner, a clogged cartridge may be the cause, so we check it whenever ice production slows down.
Are PDS20MFWCC and PDS20MFWWW different?
They are listed as other finishes of this family. We confirm the exact number from your label before we order parts, because a finish change can carry different handles and trim.
