What FXX (generic) means

On cooktops with digital electronic controls, a display reading F followed by two digits means the control has logged a problem and shows it as an FXX code. The manufacturer publishes no individual cooktop codes for the owner, and advises a service diagnosis. You will usually see the code on the display with some or all of the elements disabled. Because the digits are not itemized for owners, we read the exact two digits you see and test the circuit they point to.
