Wall Oven Repair in Houston
We repair GE, Profile and Café single and double wall ovens, including convection models. If baking is uneven, the oven stays cold, or the door and controls misbehave, we measure before replacing a part.
Common wall oven problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
Oven heats but bakes unevenly
Takes far longer to preheat
Display shows a code or stays blank
Door will not unlock after cleaning
Convection fan noisy or not spinning
Smoke or burning smell during normal use
Built-in wall ovens from GE sit in cabinetry at eye level, which means they have tight clearances, a dedicated 240-volt circuit and their own ventilation path. Inside, a bake element and often a hidden element, a temperature sensor, a convection fan, a door lock and an electronic control cooperate to keep an even temperature.
Heat is the main wear factor. Repeated self-clean cycles stress the door lock, wiring and control board, and Houston kitchens with heavy daily use see the sensor and element terminals age faster. Humid air can also corrode connectors behind the oven.
Our visit starts with the model, a read of any code, and a temperature test at the rack. We then check the element, the sensor and the fan, and inspect the door lock and wiring before telling you what we found.

Why does my oven bake unevenly?
The bake element, the temperature sensor, the convection fan or the door seal could all play a part. We compare actual temperatures across the cavity and test each part rather than guessing.
Why will my oven door not unlock after self-clean?
The lock motor or latch may be stuck, or the control may not have completed the cycle. Letting the oven cool fully first is sensible, then we check the latch and the control.
Do double wall ovens need both cavities checked?
Often the problem is limited to one, but the two cavities share a control and sometimes a wiring harness. We test the one you describe and the shared parts together.
